In 1985, Gary and Denise Paplauskas started Balloons Over Rhode Island in the garage of their Providence home. Having started out as a balloon company, which provided giant gorillas, coffee cups, and other eye-catching inflatables for companies to display in support of promotions, Balloons Over Rhode Island adapted their business model to better accommodate the needs of their customers, a theme that has continued to play a huge role in their success throughout the years.
The company started incorporating banners and signage into their offerings, and with the addition of a large format printer and vinyl plotter, their capabilities expanded and have kept growing since. Their first commercial location was a small warehouse building with an office on Walnut Grove Avenue in Cranston.
Balloons Over Rhode Island (shortened to “BORI”) became BORI Graphix, adding a graphic design and production team to keep up with the demands of the sign industry. After several years at their Cranston location, they quickly realized a larger building would be needed in order to continue on their trajectory of growth and expansion.
In 2013, BORI Graphix moved to 11 Knight Street in Warwick, where they currently continue to provide the same level of personalized customer service that has been the cornerstone of their business for over 35 years. The company now boasts several large format printers, a mass production roll-label printer, vinyl plotters, and a dedicated staff that includes Gary and Denise’s three children, Chris, Justin, and Meghan.
Their commitment to providing quality products and courteous customer service for almost four decades is what keeps customers coming back to BORI Graphix.
